The break comprises 5 nights en suite Dinner, Bed and Breakfast
accommodation and 4 rounds of golf. If you want challenging
yet enjoyable golf, set within breathtaking surroundings, then
the Hawkstone Course where Sandy Lyle learned his art, is an
essential addition to anyone's golfing schedule.
The original Hawkstone Course is a traditional parkland layout,
flowing through avenues of oak and birch with magnificent
views. In contrast to the Hawkstone Course, the Championship
Course is a blend of both traditional and modern golf course
architecture with many American style features including oval
tees, rolling fairways with mounds, many water features and
greens that are large and gently
undulating.
Brian Huggett, former Ryder Cup captain and player, was the
architect behind the design of the 18 hole Champion-ship Course,
previously known as the Windmill. Brian a gifted golfer and
course designer, has brought an American influence to this
course, and this too enjoys lovely views.
